Master Key Experience – Week 21 – Miracles Abound

Noticing Miracles was the focus of this weeks webinar, with the emphasis that size doesn’t matter – Our mission if we should accept it is to notice “miracles” everywhere, in everyone and everything.

We have a choice as Einstein said “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is”

I choose to live as though everything is a miracle – which is easy to do! The butterfly for me is one of the greatest demonstrations of a miracle on Earth. It’s transformation from an ordinary green, leaf eating caterpillar to the majestic creature that is the butterfly with its luminous wings and ability to fly represents one of the greatest miracles in nature.

I have been challenged with an upset stomach today so had a lot of time to think reflect on this weeks webinar and asking myself “what would the person I intend to become do next?” which led me to the conclusion that I take myself too seriously so I started watching some humorous “Ted Talks”

I had always heard that “Laughter is the best medicine” and today I learned about the many benefits of laughter. It truly is a miracle worker.

Some of the miraculous effects of laughter include:

1. Reduces Stress Hormones

By reducing the level of stress hormones, you’re simultaneously cutting the anxiety and stress that impacts your body.

2. Decreases Pain

In his book Anatomy of an Illness as Perceived by the Patient Norman Cousins who suffered from a painful degenerative disease that attacked his collagen describes how Mirthful laughter markedly reduced his pain and relieved stress. “10 minutes of laughter gave me 2 hours of pain free sleep,” Cousins said, “laughter produced a natural body anesthesia.”

3. Improves Heart Health

Laughter is a great cardio workout It gets your heart pumping and burns a similar amount of calories per hour as walking at a slow to moderate pace.

4. Triggers the release of Endorphins

Endorphins are the body’s natural feel good chemicals. By laughing, you can release endorphins, which can help ease chronic pain and make you feel good all over.

5. Strengthens Relationships and Enhances Teamwork

Laughter causes people to feel comfortable within their group, and this relaxed state is the perfect environment for high productivity and for creativity to thrive.

My Favourite joke from today’s Ted Talks was from Anthony McCarten – It made me laugh – I hope it does the same for you!

” There is a man dying in his bed in his Home and He can get the most sublime smell from the kitchen – It’s his favourite cookies, and with his last bit of energy he gets out of the bed and slowly makes his way to the Kitchen where his wife of 50 years is cooking these fabulous chocolate chip cookies. There on a plate are 4 of them just out of the oven. With his last bit of Human strength he reaches over to take one of the biscuits and his wife sees him and rushes over and slaps him on the hand and says –

NO! THEY ARE FOR THE FUNERAL!
